Today wasn’t a very exciting day, but a good day, nonetheless. Lily’s been running a bit of a fever and has had a cough since we picked her up. Still, she hasn’t been overly cranky, which amazes us. We went to the “Global Doctor” (practices Western Medicine) yesterday. He was really professional and helpful, and recommended a day of rest for the baby.

So, we spent the day at the hotel in and around the room. As you can see, Lily’s mood was not affected in the least.

Enjoy the photos!

A view of Chongqing from the 10th floor roof garden of the JW Marriott Hotel.  The building that looks like the Empire State Building was actually modelled after it and is named "New York".

"Look.  This here's my Mom.  Don't mess with her.  Understand?  I'm SERIOUS."

Dad & Daughter enjoying a "picnic" in the room.  Notice the folded clothes on the sofa in the background.  We had our laundry sent out and it came back folded and packaged in cellophane.  NICE!  The hotel offers this service, but our guide hooked us up with a local service.  It cost about $36 US.  Not bad, considering we had a lot of laundry.  Besides, the hotel would have charged over 3 times as much!!

There was a fresh flower stand across from the hotel.  We couldn't resist getting some Lillies.  They were very inexpensive, fragrant and gorgeous.  Our Lily will likely not be so inexpensive, at times, not so fragrant, but now, and surely forever, gorgeous!

"See what I have in suitcase - make you good deal!  Want to buy a watch?  How about a map?  I have good deal on clothing TODAY!! High quality, low price!"

"Who loves ya, baby?"

"When I get to America, will I have to stand this way to see things right-side up?"

"Gee Whiz, Dad.  Can't you stop taking pictures of me for one minute?"

Our Family

This afternoon, we were just looking around the Marriott, checking the place out.  Believe it or not, this photo was taken in the hotel bar.  It was the middle of the afternoon and the bartender snapped it for us.
