Today, we got Lily’s Chinese passport. As of now, she is still a citizen of China. Next week, on Monday, we will visit the US Consulate in Guangzhou to take care of the final paperwork that will lead to her US Citizenship. However, she still won’t be a US Citizen until we hit the ground in Newark on our way back home. Once we’re home we will be able to apply for her US Passport and Social Security number.

It was another quiet day. We had breakfast with the Obnamia’s and afterwards, the guys gave the ladies a little girl-time to go out shopping. Dilla and Lynn took off with our guide, Eva, headed to the pedestrian mall for a few hours while Justin and Rey made like Daddy Day Care. How hard could it be? Actually, it was fun and easy (the kids only had us outnumbered by one!). The hard part was trying to put Lily down for a nap. She did NOT like that at all. Fortunately, Dilla came back within 15 minutes of trying to get her to rest and we all took a nap together.

Dilla had been waiting for Friday night dinner at the hotel all week. They had a Tex-Mex buffet and it was really good! The servers, usually dressed formally in black pants, white shirts and long aprons, were clad in blue jeans with their white shirts and red bandanas. The hostess wore a cowboy hat – it was really cute. We really pigged out, and then went back to the room to pack. We leave for Guangzhou tomorrow.

Justin’s been the designated photographer most of the trip but he didn’t take many photos today. Lily warmed up to Dilla pretty quickly, but she has been pretty cautious around Justin. Rather than taking a lot of photos, I spent more time letting Lily get to know me. Still, I got a few good shots to share with you. Enjoy!

Okay, so Lily didn't like Daddy's idea of taking a picture with Sage in the stroller.  But, hey!  I thought it would be so cute!
